TNEA 2024 Counselling: The Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE), Tamil Nadu has released the provisional seat allotment result for Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission (TNEA 2024) 2024 for second-round candidates. The candidates who confirmed their tentative seat allotment have been can download the provisional allotment order by visiting the official website i.e. tneaonline.org, and report to the respective college on or before 20 August 2024.

This counselling is conducted for the candidates who are interested to take admission into government, government-aided engineering colleges, seats surrendered by the central government institutions, Central Electrochemical Research Institute (CECRI), Karaikudi, Central Institute of Plastic Engineering and Technology (CIPET), Chennai, Indian Institute of Handloom Technology(IIHT), Salem, Anna University, and Annamalai University. 

According to the official notice, “Those who had opted “I accept the current allotment and opt for the upward movement. If allotted in an upward movement, I confirm.”, we request you to log in and download the tentative allotment order and visit the TFC that you had selected during the tentative confirmation with all the required certificates on or before 20-08-2024, all other students who confirmed the tentative allotment request you to wait until 23-08-2024,” the officials said. The directorate cautioned the students against fraudulent calls asking them for usernames and passwords or suggesting college names to fill out choices.“

“If you need assistance with any counselling procedure, please visit any nearby TFC centre or contact us via email or telephone,” it added.

UPSC Combined Geo-Scientist Main Result 2024: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the result of the Combined Geo-Scientist Main Exam 2024. Candidates who appeared for the same can visit the official website i.e. upsc.gov.in. The candidates who have qualified in this written exam will have to appear for the interview/ personality test.

The commission has issued lists of roll numbers of candidates who have qualified for the interview or the personality test. The UPSC Combined Geo-Scientist Main exam was conducted on 22 and 23 June  2024. 110 candidates have been recommended for geologist, 14 for hydrogeology, 31 for geophysicist, and 39 for chemist or chemical posts. 

According to the official notice, “The candidature of these candidates is provisional subject to their being found eligible in all respects. The candidates would be required to produce the original certificates in support of their claim relating to age, educational qualifications, community, physical disability, EWS, etc. at the time of the personality test. They are, therefore, advised to keep the said certificates ready.”

 “The candidate will be solely responsible for not producing sufficient valid proof in support of his/her age, date of birth, educational qualifications, caste (SC/ST/OBC), EWS, and physical disability status,” it added. 

The recruitment drive will fill out a total of 56 vacancies Geological Survey of India, Ministry of Mines and Central Ground Water Board, Ministry of Jal Shakti, and Department of Water Resources through nationwide examinations The candidates for these posts will be selected based on a Preliminary examination, a Main examination and a final document verification/interview stage.

MHT CET Counselling 2024: The Common Entrance Test (CET) cell, Maharashtra has released the provisional seat allotment result for the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) round 1 counselling 2024. The candidates who registered for the same can visit the official website i.e. fe2024.mahacet.org. to check the provisional allotment status of CAP round 1. 

The candidates may note that they will require their login credentials such as application number and date of birth to view or download their results. The candidates allotted a seat in CAP Round 1 will have to accept the offered seat between 16 to 18 August 2024.

The MHT CET counselling is conducted for candidates seeking admission to the first year of undergraduate technical courses in engineering and technology (4 years) and the master of engineering and technology (integrated 5 years) for the academic year 2024-25.

In case, if a candidate finds that their claim is incorrect and wants to correct the error, they must report the grievance online my visiting the official website through their login. Candidates allotted a seat according to their first preference in Round 1 must pay the seat acceptance fee of Rs 1,000 by 3 pm on 18 August 2024.

According to the counselling schedule, the candidates who have accepted their seats must report to the allotted institute to confirm their admission by 5 pm on 18 August 2024. The institute will verify the necessary documents, update the admission status in the online system, and provide a system-generated confirmation and fee payment receipt to the candidate.

However, the date and time of release has not been shared by the exam conducting authority yet.
