According to Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, 29,946 young people have received government jobs in the state thus far under the AAP administration.

According to him, no state government in the nation had ever given so many jobs to young people in the first year, thus it was a record. After presenting appointment letters to 252 candidates for positions in the departments of health and family welfare, power, and medical research, Mann addressed a crowd and said young people should be proud of joining the state government as they tirelessly fight to create a new Punjab.

According to the Chief Minister, the recruitment campaign was conducted on the basis of merit, and only eligible and needy applicants were awarded jobs. The Chief Minister poked fun at opposing political party leaders by criticising their disregard for the welfare of the common people and drawing attention to the disparity between their extravagant lifestyles while in office and their present absence from the political arena.
