First-year higher secondary, and vocational higher secondary are to begin today but due to heavy rainfall and bad weather conditions, some of the districts have declared a holiday. 6 districts that is, Kannur, Thrissur, Ernakulam, and Kottayam have been declared holidays for educational institutions. This year’s Plus One higher secondary classes will start on Wednesday.

In all, 3,16,772 students have taken higher secondary admission, including 565 students who must provide admission details for merit seats, according to a statement issued by the office of Minister for General Education V. Sivankutty on Tuesday. Plus One pupil does not need to attend school in districts where the Collectors have announced a holiday due to excessive rain.

A red alert signifies severe to extremely heavy rainfall of more than 20 cm in 24 hours, while an orange alert suggests very heavy rains ranging from 6 cm to 20 cm. As a precaution, a holiday has been proclaimed for all educational institutions, except for colleges in the northernmost Kasaragod region. Due to the risk of landslides, the district administration recommended residents to avoid traveling on high-risk roads.

Shoolini University has added another feather to its cap by becoming the No.2 Private University among the young universities of the country as per The Young University Rankings 2023 announced today. This comes in the wake of Shoolini University scoring the No.1 spot among private universities in India by the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2023 as well as Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) 2024.

This category includes universities established in the past 50 years. For the first time, 13-year-old Shoolini University has participated in these rankings. Public sector Mahatma Gandhi University has been ranked No.1 while JSS Academy is No.2, followed by Shoolini University. These are the only three universities from India in the Top 100 World List. UPSC CDS 2 2022 (OTA) Final Result Out: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) released the UPSC CDS 2 2022 (OTA) final result on July 4, 2023. Candidates can check the Combined Defence Services Examination (II), 2022 OTA final result on the official website of UPSC, upsc.gov.in.

UPSC CDS 2 2022 (OTA) Final Result Released: Important Details

“The following are the lists, in order of merit, in respect of 302 (*199 + ^103 ) candidates who have finally qualified on the basis of the results of the Combined Defence Services Examination (II), 2022 conducted by the Union Public Service Commission and Interviews held by the Services Selection Board of the Ministry of Defence for admission to the (i) *Officers Training Academy, Chennai, for 118th Short Service Commission Course (NT) (for Men) and (ii) ^Officers Training Academy, Chennai, 32nd Short Service Commission Women (Non-Technical) Course, commencing in October, 2023,” UPSC said in an official statement.

 

The marks of the candidates will be available after 15 days, and they will be able to download the scorecard within 30 days. The commission informed about the facilitation centre and stated that candidates can obtain any information on working days either physically or online. The final result of the written examination was declared in April, and a total of 204 candidates qualified.

 

A total of 302 candidates have qualified based on the results of the Combined Defence Services Examination (II), 2022, conducted by the Union Public Service Commission and Interviews held by the Services Selection Board of the Ministry of Defence.

 

This examination drive will fill up 341 posts in various courses, out of which 100 posts are in IMA, Dehradun, 22 posts are in the Indian Naval Academy, 32 posts are in the Air Force Academy, 170 posts are in OTA (Men), and 17 posts are in OTA (Women).
