The commission has issued lists of roll numbers of candidates who have qualified for the interview or the personality test. The UPSC Combined Geo-Scientist Main exam was conducted on 22 and 23 June 2024. 110 candidates have been recommended for geologist, 14 for hydrogeology, 31 for geophysicist, and 39 for chemist or chemical posts.
According to the official notice, “The candidature of these candidates is provisional subject to their being found eligible in all respects. The candidates would be required to produce the original certificates in support of their claim relating to age, educational qualifications, community, physical disability, EWS, etc. at the time of the personality test. They are, therefore, advised to keep the said certificates ready.”
“The candidate will be solely responsible for not producing sufficient valid proof in support of his/her age, date of birth, educational qualifications, caste (SC/ST/OBC), EWS, and physical disability status,” it added.
The recruitment drive will fill out a total of 56 vacancies Geological Survey of India, Ministry of Mines and Central Ground Water Board, Ministry of Jal Shakti, and Department of Water Resources through nationwide examinations The candidates for these posts will be selected based on a Preliminary examination, a Main examination and a final document verification/interview stage.
